Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs will help you jumpstart your portable data terminal project through a processor able to capture and parse the universal product code, an efficient power management design and low-power wireless and wired interfaces Based on your needs.

Design requirements

Modern portable data terminal designs require:

  • ARM Cortex-A8 core that fully supports the processing requirements of the scanning algorithm.
  • Touchscreen control that allows for PDT ease-of-use in the field.
  • PMICs that provide the PDT with a solution to generate and regulate core, memory and input/output power.
  • PDT requires WLAN, 2G/3G/4G cellular modems and BT and Wi-Fi to connect with the external world.
