Optical imaging payload

Block diagram

Overview

Imaging satellites continuously monitor the planet for various tasks such as weather, mapping or surveillance.

Design requirements

Modern optical imaging payloads require:

  • Fast, high-resolution imaging pipelines to acquire detailed image data.
  • Low-noise clocking solutions to maximize the performance of the sensors and digitizers.
  • Radiation hardened electronics to survive the harsh environment of space.
